Separation Chamber: Inside the rice tips separator, there is a separation chamber or compartment where the separation process takes place. This chamber is equipped with mechanisms such as sieves, screens, or perforated plates with specific hole sizes.
Vibration or Airflow: Rice tips separators use various methods to separate the broken grains from the whole grains. One common method is to subject the rice grains to vibration. The vibrations cause the rice grains to move and stratify based on their size and weight. Alternatively, some separators use airflow to create a fluidized bed of rice grains, allowing the broken grains to rise to the top.
Gravity Separation: As the rice grains move or are suspended in the separation chamber, gravity plays a role in the separation process. Due to the difference in weight and size between the whole and broken grains, the broken grains tend to move or settle differently, making it easier to separate them from the intact grains.
Outlet and Discharge: The separated broken rice grains, or tips, are collected and discharged separately from the whole rice grains. They are typically directed to a separate outlet or hopper for further processing or disposal.
